Requirements:
You must attend an accredited public college or university in San Diego County.
You must be enrolled for at least 9 credit hours per semester.
You must have a 2.0 GPA or above each semester.

Requirements:
Be a participant of Just in Time for foster youth
Pursuing a Master’s program (this might be something to keep in mind when you graduate from a four year university!)

Promises2Kids: Guardian Scholars
Next Deadline: Open until March 2nd
Requirements:
Current or former San Diego County foster youth.
In the fall, will be enrolled full-time in a higher education program.
Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
If you will reside in San Diego, agree to be matched with a mentor.
In the fall, obtain part-time employment, unless a special circumstance has been approved.
Meet monthly requirements with deadlines and maintain regular communication.

FC2Success | Foster Care to Success: for next year
Next Deadline: January 1st – March 31st annually
Requirements:
Have been in public or private foster care for the 12 consecutive months leading up to and including their 18th birthday; OR have been adopted or placed into legal guardianship after their 16th birthday; OR have been orphaned for at least one year at the time of their 18th birthday and not subsequently adopted
Be under the age of 25 on March 31 of the year in which they apply if they have not previously received scholarship funding from Foster Care to Success
Have been in foster care or orphaned while living in the United States. U.S. citizenship is not required.
Have been accepted into or expect to be accepted into an accredited, Pell-eligible college or other post secondary school
Awards range from $2,500-$5,000 based on a combination of need and merit
This scholarship is renewable: Up to five years if the student remains compliant with program requirements

John Burton Advocates for Youth Textbook Drive

Be a foster youth going to any of public colleges and universities listed.

Casey Family Scholars Program
Next Deadline:
Undergraduate: March 1-May 1 and August 1-October 1 annually
Graduate: February 1-April 1 annually
Requirements:
Have received foster care, guardianship or adoption services from Casey Family Programs in Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington or Wyoming
Be starting or currently attending a technical school, college or university in pursuit of a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s or postgraduate degree (Eligibility is confirmed by the funder, NOT by Foster Care to Success)
This grant is renewable:
Undergraduate up to six years
Graduate up to four years
The San Diego Foundation Common Scholarship
