Children’s Legal Services of San Diego provides legal representation to all foster youth who have a San Diego County Juvenile Court dependency case. We thank your school staff for your ongoing hard work to notify us about our clients’ disciplinary issues.

Please provide our office with timely notice of and an invitation to attend (if applicable) any disciplinary or expulsion proceedings affecting a San Diego foster child in your school district. Notification is required for any suspension, involuntary transfer, or meeting involving a suspension extension, expulsion, or manifestation determination. California Education Code §§ 48432.5, 47605(c), 48911 et. seq.
