California Office of the Foster Care Ombudsperson (OFCO) advocates on behalf of foster children and youth regarding their care, placement, and services. The OFCO is an autonomous entity that is empowered to investigate and informally resolve complaints impacting foster youth, increase awareness about foster youth rights, and make recommendations to help support systemic change.

HOW TO MAKE A COMPLAINT ABOUT YOUR LAWYER:

Providing great legal representation is important to us! If you have a question or complaint about how your lawyer is handling your case, please contact your lawyer's supervisor so that your concern can be addressed.  To be connected with your lawyer's supervisor, you can call our main number at: (858) 221-0404.

The San Diego Superior Court also has a complaint process. The steps for filing a complaint with the court are located in Rule 6.4.1: 2024_division_vi_-_juvenile.pdf (ca.gov)
